Towards the end of each ski season, usually around the 3rd week of April, the Patrol holds it's annual hiring
clinic to evaluate candidates for the next ski season. The clinic is a 2-day event and consists of an
on mountain evaluation of the candidates skiing abilities, and a "dry-land" evaluation of the candidates
first aid skills.
Minimum Requirements:
The potential candidate must be an expert skier, a certified Outdoor Emergency Care Technician or EMT, and
have a completed employment application on file with the
Human Resources Department.
We highly recommend that each candidate spend some time on our Mountain, getting to know our Patrol's functions,
meet some of our Patrollers, and possibly go on some First Aid calls. This will allow us to get to know the
candidates better, and make a better evaluation of their capabilities other than just at the hiring clinic.
